Will I have excess tissue in the body after weight loss?
I'm not obese. I'm 6 feet, 208 pounds. I was 225 pounds when I started. The ideal weight is 175-180 so I'm still fat. I've seen some very serious cases of excess skin or tissues of the body after excessive weight loss. Be that it will not, but my question is since I was a little overweight I have yet extra / more tissue / skin of someone who never was fat? Even if is noticeable? I have 20 years of age, so I'm assuming that the excess skin tissue will go away over time, but I'm not a doctor, so I do not know with certainty. Any information is helpful. Thanks
Having the extra skin will depend partly on how much they lose, how quickly it, and age. often extreme results in weight loss lose in extra skin (esp if the person was too heavy for a long time.) Very rapid weight loss of a significant amount may result in extra skin (which happened to me … I lost 90 pounds too fast and now I have some spare tires) If you are older (which is not your problem), your skin tends to lose some of its elasticty and loose skin which may result from a good amount of weight loss. At your age, which want to miss a total of about 50 pounds, if take it easy (no more than three pounds per week), then you should be able to avoid much, if any, the extra skin. Be sure to do strength training also so you can put some muscle into the skin rather than fat. ☺
